Prime Minister Imran Khan has stressed on the need for renewed international cooperation and partnership to tackle climate change, in a letter to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation co-chair Bill Gates.
PM Imran Khan, in his letter, dated April 6, states that he read Gates book “Avoiding a Climate Disaster” and found it a compelling read.
I found it very interesting as it provides policy-oriented analyses on the critical issue of climate change challenges confronting the global community , said the prime minister.
The premier spoke about Pakistan s efforts in this regard, saying that his government has already been moving to counter the impact of climate change through various policy initiatives .

22nd International Biennial of Graphic Humor starts in Cuba
Havana, Apr 11 (Prensa Latina) The 22nd International Biennial of Graphic Humor, to be held virtually until April 14, will start on Sunday with the inauguration of the collective exhibition of Superheroes cartoons.
Some 20 works by 15 local artists make up the exhibition, which recreates the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, especially by Cuban healthcare personnel.
The caricatures will be exhibited outside the Ministry of Culture and bear the signatures of renowned humorists such as Adan Iglesias, Enrique Lacoste, Lazaro Miranda, Alejandro Falco, Alfredo Martirena and Aristides Hernandez.
